Old Man's Higgin's Farm

Most watercolour painters end up doing the barn thing!
Here is one of many!

One of my favorite summer flowers.

This was an attempt at  using a different style.
I particularly liked the background. It was done using plastic wrap on the paint while it was still wet.

More Leaves

Sold

My Monday night art group decided to do fall leaves with a really dark background.
It was an interesting exercise. I usually find it difficult to get intense washes without it turning muddy with this I was able to get the muted dark background without it looking like mud.

TOUCH OF FALL

TOUCH OF FALL

WATERCOLOR AND PAPER
Not for Sale

30X21

Below is the original picture that my friend took. He was in a bus shelter on a windy and rainy day. Most of the leaves were in shadow all except the few in the middle.
When I saw the picture it I knew I had to paint it. It's one of my favorite paintings and I have decided to keep it for my own personal collection.
